Every year the Tri-County Red Cross responds to more than 60 local disasters assisting hundreds of people who lose their homes to fire or flood. The chapter also raises funds and sends volunteers and materials to national and international disasters such as the recent Haiti Earthquake and Hurricane Gustav and Ike.
In 2005, the chapter sent more than 60 volunteers and hundreds of thousands of dollars to support the relief efforts in Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi. Many of these volunteers will be at the Fais do do to talk about their work, and talk about the importance of the ongoing Red Cross mission.
But it is also a party and a celebration of the donors and volunteers who make our work possible. Without these generous people who give of their time and funds the lives of people in Central NJ, the United States and the world would be significantly impacted. Come dance, eat, drink and celebrate the great people who make up the American Red Cross.
