Clara Barton, Founder of the American Red Cross

Through its broad range of humanitarian services, the American Red Cross touches the lives of millions every year - many of them in our own community.

Our neighbors in crisis may include a family left homeless after an apartment fire, a person undergoing emergency surgery in desperate need of lifesaving blood, or a toddler who falls into a swimming pool and, in the blink of any eye, must have expert emergency assistance to survive.Uy

People depend on the immediate action of the Red Cross when help can't wait - down the street, across the country, and around the world.  And for more than a century, the Red Cross has kept faith with the American public thanks to the generosity of our neighbors who help fulfill our mission.

Your support means that disaster victims get food and shelter, that refugees in war-torn countries have medical care, and that military families get emergency messages to service members far away.

Your support also sets an example for others who share your concern for those in need of Red Cross services who have nowhere else to turn.

Membership in the Clara Barton Society allows you the opportunity to join others who share her commitment and have made a substantial gift to support the work of the American Red Cross <insert chapter name> chapter.

Your generosity and dedication provide the opportunity for the Red Cross to respond immediately to disasters.
