Tri-County Red Cross Responds to North Plainfield Fire

The Tri-County Red Cross Disaster Action Team (DAT) responded to a multi-family home fire on Westervelt Street in North Plainfield this morning at the request of North Plainfield authorities.  Three families have been displaced with 13 people total, including six children all unde 13. 

At our request the Dunkin' Donuts on Front Street in Plainfield provided coffee to the families and firefighters, which our DAT team is distributing on the scene on this very cold day.

The Tri-County Red Cross provides hotel rooms, food and clothing for families who lose their homes to fire more than 65 times a year, or more than once a week.  Hundreds of families rely on your support to make it through one of the worst moments of their lives.
