Tri-County Red Cross Responds to Fires in South Plainfield, Dunellen

| | Comments (0)  |
The Tri-Coutny Red Cross responded to two fires today, one of which at the time of this report, is still ongoing.  Early this morning Disaster Action Team member Terri Esposito responded to a fire in South Plainfield where one family of three adults and three children required assistance.

As we write this, there are four Tri-County Red Cross disaster responders at a multi-home fire on Jackson Avenue in Dunellen, where at least one family is in need of shelter after being displaced from their home.  The Red Cross has also worked with the McDonalds restaurant on Front Street in Plainfield to secure hot water to make warm drinks and soup for the fire fighters on the scene.

The Tri-County Red Cross funds its disaster response completely with contributions from local individuals, organizations and businesses.  Please consider contributing $25, $50 or more to help replenish the disaster fund.
