As we write this, there are four Tri-County Red Cross disaster responders at a multi-home fire on Jackson Avenue in Dunellen, where at least one family is in need of shelter after being displaced from their home. The Red Cross has also worked with the McDonalds restaurant on Front Street in Plainfield to secure hot water to make warm drinks and soup for the fire fighters on the scene.
The Tri-County Red Cross funds its disaster response completely with contributions from local individuals, organizations and businesses. Please consider contributing $25, $50 or more to help replenish the disaster fund.
